Introducing the MWC Ltd Edition Classic Aviator Watch, one of our standout Pilot watch models.

The MWC Classic Aviator range is inspired by military designs from the 1940s and 50s. Some models feature a traditional second hand within a subsidiary dial above 6 o'clock, a common feature in the 1940s. This model, however, includes a sweep second hand, a design that began replacing subsidiary dials on many watches from around 1943 onward. These variations allow you to choose a model that suits your personal style preferences.

Key Features:

  • Imposing Presence: The extra-large case diameter of 46mm (excluding the crown) makes this a striking timepiece that commands attention and garners favorable comments, especially from other watch enthusiasts.
  • Enhanced Readability: The large dial, combined with Luminova paint, ensures the watch is extremely easy to read, day or night, similar to the original World War II aviator watches.
  • Reliable Movement: This model is powered by a traditional automatic 24-jewel NH35A mechanical movement with a 41-hour power reserve when fully wound.

Why Choose Sapphire Crystal?

Synthetic sapphire is the best material for watch crystals due to its exceptional strength, shatter resistance, and scratch resistance. These characteristics make it highly appealing to military and security personnel, police officers, and individuals with active outdoor lifestyles, accounting for over 70% of our customers.

To put things into perspective, when clients experience accidents resulting in a cracked crystal, over 90% of the time it involves watches with mineral glass crystals. Even hardened mineral crystals do not match sapphire in terms of durability under adverse conditions. Sapphire crystals are so strong because, after manufacture, they are heat-treated to remove internal stresses, which can cause weakness. They are then made into watch crystals, with two layers of anti-reflective coating applied. Interestingly, sapphire crystal is now used on the latest iPhone. While sapphire crystal comes at a higher price, it is normally only fitted to higher-end watches, and its durability and resilience make it a worthwhile investment.

Choose the MWC Ltd Edition Classic Aviator Watch for a blend of historical design and modern functionality, making it a perfect addition to any watch collection.
